QUARTER20 is a retail experience agency that specializes in the design, development and implementation of retail environments, store fixtures and marketing programs. We are seeking top talent that thrives in a creative and fast-paced culture servicing many of the leading global retail brands. Specifically, we have a full-time opening for an Associate Creative Director (ACD). The ACD oversees the daily activities of a design team assigned to multiple projects and cultivates an environment of sustained creativity and professional growth. The ACD may assist the VP of Creative on design direction, team effectiveness, and client relationships. S/he is also expected to play an active, hands-on role in projects. Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):
CREATIVE
Provide daily management of the quality and tenor of the office and the design team’s creative work.
Guide to the design team in direction, style, and methodology.
Collect feedback and best-case examples from the team and collaborate with the VP of Creative to drive the potential creative futures of both your team and the broader company.
Make yourself a ‘timely expert’ towards the creative needs of our key clients in order to provide necessary creative insights and project oversight.
CLIENT
Participate in the creative role of new business pitches, proposal development, and project initiation.
Take a creative leadership role in our top-tier clients
TEAM
Oversee the creative output of the design team.
Monitor and drive an ideal balance in the available skills and personality of the team towards the needs of our customers.
Monitor and drive the team to utilize the best and latest methods and tolls to be competitive.
Help develop the culture and mindset of the team to ensure they are healthy, happy, inventive, curious, and open.
Mentor the careers of your direct reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day operations of the design team, including setting priorities, assigning resources, and ensuring that project goals are achieved.
Oversee simultaneous projects from inception to completion, reviewing project plans, designs, and deliverables of projects for key clients.
When needed, write and visualize brand and retail strategy – and direct the design of projects – for our key clients.
Identify and implement process improvements to meet project and team needs.
Participate in recruiting and hiring designers.
Promote a culture of innovation and teamwork.
Establish and nurture good client working relationships.
Participate in a new business development activities.
SKILLS
Very strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Must be comfortable presenting design in-person or over the phone.
Must have the ability to communicate ideas and concepts through drawings and sketches.
Ability to communicate ideas and concepts through drawings and sketches.
Not afraid to get into the details to get things done.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Suite is required.
Proficient knowledge of 3D programs such as SketchUp and 3D Studio.
EXPERIENCE
Must represent QUARTER20 Values.
BA or BS in Industrial, Graphic, Interior Design or Architecture.
4-7 years’ experience is ideal.
Retail industry experience or other retail multi-discipline experience is a plus.
Broad range of experience managing the development of consumer marketing and branding programs including in-store merchandising, promotions, signage, local/special events marketing.
Have been on a team on either the brand or agency side.
SOME TRAVEL REQUIRED.
